Tino Sehgal describes his works as "constructed situations", rather than performances or installations. With numerous "interpreters" who penetrate and interact with the audience, they blur the line between art and life, between public and private. Each of his works unfolds as a unique social event on site. In doing so, Sehgal questions the economy of attention underlying a work of art and the way it is defined by its institutional framework, especially as art becomes increasingly immaterial.
